My roomates computer won't allow him to log on to the Admin settings. He rebooted the computer, and the passsword had changed. He can't get into safemode and the boot disk isn't working either. He is essentially locked out. Any ideas?

Create a new account/administrator profile and log in. Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\[Previous User Profile] and copy all folders to: C:\Documents and Settings\[New User Profile]. Then reboot.

I suppose you can try resetting lost or forgotten win xp pass using Active@ password Changer utility. This is a small too that is yet powerful and never failed me before.
