Received notice from my old Ad Aware to upgrade to 2007 Ad Aware. What a scare! I am told my computer has over 700 errors and yet just a few weeks ago I used my older Ad Aware and it fixed under a dozen updates. The 2007 Ad Aware listed my Registry and my precious PhotoShop as having problems so I uninstalled the 2007. There is no problem with my computer and I feel the 2007 will make problems trying to get me to buy the full program.

I would recommend Spybot S&D with it's immunizing feature...I quit using Adaware months ago because it never really caught too much.

Thank you. Fortunately, I also use Spybot along with the old Ad-Aware SE. I also have the Spyware Blaster so hopefully I am covered. Along with McAfee I can only hope I never have an invasion of anything. Thank you again. I appreciate it.

no problem. If you want, try this free on-line scan and remove all it finds:

There could be other problems lurking around and that scan usually finds some. Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

Also if you would like, in my opinion, a much better freeware replacement for Adaware give SUPERAntispyware a go.
I was a big fan of both Spybot Search & Destroy and Adaware but with the Adaware 2007 release, like XpUser4Real, I moved on because in my opinion it was suddenly lacking.
Although I still do really like Spybot Search & Destroy I now use Spyware Terminator instead. I like its real time protection visual interface better and it is very thorough also.

Another thing I've done lately, I've set Ccleaner to clean out my PC on reboot...I was using Spyware Terminator but I replaced it with Ccleaner and my PC stays quite clean:

I don't use any toolbars so that is the slim version. Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

Thank you very much for your advice and concern. It is so nice to have Computing.Net where viewers really seem to care about each other.
