There was one recent update that did not install properly. It required several attempts by some users to get it to install. However, that update was followed by two updates on the same day this past weeek. You need to check the definition file to make sure your file is dated o3.11.2005(latest definition. HTH

Any chance that a firewall setting might be causing it?

Hey capt, sprank here havn't talked to you in awhile and was wondering about this new issue with Ad-aware.

I am running the personal edition with the definitions file: SE1R32 10.03.2005 I just updated yesterday or the day before and have had no issues yet with a internet connection loss (as many have reported).

Just wondering since you listed another definition file above.

Thanks, sprank

Sprank, it certainly has been a while. The update that was causing the disconnection problem was 03.08.2005. That is what the disconnection problem was that per was warning about. The last update came just a few hours after another one on the same day. It was strange, because the Lava-soft updates had not been issued, which took them past the default out of date warning just a few days earlier. I changed the update warning setting, because it bugged me to not be able to get an update when the warning box appeared. Then they send one update and two days later another two are sent a couple hours apart. Maybe one of the updates was a fix for the disconnection problem. You take care!

capt, Just wondering about this issue since I just checked a couple of minutes ago and the updated definitions # that I just gave is my most current update and there are no more available when I try to update. Only thing that I can figure out is that Ad-aware has now made this update that is causing problems unavailable to the public.

They should of checked this issue out before making it available in the first place.

Take Care
