I run Adaware and Spybot S&D on a daily basis
right after I log off from the Internet.
What I find strange is that I come up with the same scan results everyday despite the fact that I quarantine/fix the problem on
the spyware/adware found.
Does this mean that this pests are permanently in my system and cannot be removed by both these tools?
Can anyone please enlighten me and how I can
finally rid myself of these stubborn pests once and for all.
By the way, the spyware/adware are VX2 Better
Internet (2 Registry and 1 File items), and
Look2Me (2 Registry and 1 file item).

Try running the programs while Windows is in 'SafeMode'. Some files resist deletion if they are running. See the following post for more details.....

Get SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard to help stop the junk from getting into your computer in the first place. If you have those, Ad-aware and Spybot won't find much, if anything, because your computer will stay clean!

Yes, Adaware and Spybot are FREE versions which simply SCAN your system.

You can purchase spyware that will GUARD your PC from infection also, such as those suzi mentions, and others (seems every day a new gear gets turned out to the masses).

I would also suggest that you make sure you have the latest versions of both.

For AdAware it is Build 6.181.
