A new referencefile (01R233 22.11.2003) is now available.

Included are newly added signatures for: Alfa-Search, BoonPie, dbd.ath.cx, PKings-IEHelper, WhenUSearch Browser Toolbar, WhenUSearch Desktop Toolbar, Win32.HLLW.Nebiwo.

Updated signatures for: Adultlinks Quickbar, AsinLover, CommonName, CoolWebSearch, DateManager*, DownloadPlus, E-Group (Dialer), Gator eWallet*, IBIS Toolbar*, MemoryMeter, PrecisionTime*, Rads01.Quagrogram, RapidBlaster, SaveNow, UpdateLoader Malware, VX2.BetterInternet, WeatherCast, WeatherScope*, WebDialer (Dialer), WinLogonEXE, WurldMedia, Xupiter.

* Notes:

Huntbar and WebSearch Toolbar now appear under the new IBIS Toolbar family.

Gator is now Claria. Gator eWallet, WeatherScope, PrecisionTime and DateManager are shown under the Claria family.

After updating, the detail-screen shows the following information:

I'm aware of the folders remaining, and 6.2 should correct this. Reason it won't show them again after the first scan (whose removal can, in some cases, leave the empty folders behind) is, since the folders are empty, their mere presence doesn't warrant their showing for optional removal.

As far as the registry entry, that would be a dynamically located one. IOW, Ad-aware doesn't show that CLSID in its result list unless something is present which Ad-aware then does a further scan and determines the CLSID is associated with what it's found.

It's not going to show that CLSID just because it exists. There has to be something to trigger its detection.

The reference file is fine.
