Hi Can anyone help me please? I have recently got a keylogger constantly coming up on aol spyare program. I get rid of it and when I next go online its there again. I cant get rid of it. I have a freebie anti keylogger running but even its not helping! Its showing up as Activity Logger 2.0....also getting lots of Winactive. Can anyone also tell me what LV COM SX and WSN are in my start up please?
I'd appreciate help quickly.

I had same problem with aol spyware and this activity logger and was starting to think it would never go away, and to make matters worse nothing else that i had would even find it, but......... i found a prog called Aluria security centre, this found it quarantined it and eventually removed it and all its components and i have not heard from it since.

Hi Bridiebee
Do not buy any software as the damn thing is back again, i need to ask you a question,do you have "Advanced Uninstaller Pro" installed on your pc, odd question i know but it seems to regenerate the reg key "HKEY.CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ASPROTECT" and this is what Aluria keeps finding and marking up as an Activity Logger.

Funny you should say that...I did download an advanced uninstaller a while back not sure it was Pro...could have been. i uninstalled it after about three days though. Could this have been the problem and does that mean it doesnt really exist and is just one of those things?? thanks for your help

Yes it was that! I just found reference to it around the date all this started to happen I have left:
The text documents
Shortcut
temp internet files
The whole file folder
The help guide on my pc. If I just send all these to may recycle bin will that rid me of the software? I thought i had uninstalled it. I no longer have it in add/remove or in my programs?
Do I have to go into the registry and look for references there too and if so what exactly do i delete please?
many thanks
Bridiebee

Sorry to be a nuisance but also do you know why I have ACMru under search assistant with two files constantly under that. Is it a viable search folder that comes with search assistant and xp home? Do I need search assistant. thanks

Now things are getting odd, i have spoke to several people who have this activity logger showing in aol spywrare search and they all use Advanced uninstaller pro, i narrowed it down to this prog by deleting the above reg key and running each frequently used prog to see who fired up that entry again and come up witth AUP, but if you are no longer using it then why do you keep getting the so called activity logger? Is there a PROTECT.DLL in the left over folder, if so delete it. I am quite sure you do not have activity logger on your pc, sounds very much like a false positive but best to make absolutly sure.
I do not know about search assistants but ACMru is "autocomplete most recently used so try turning off auto complete and see if that helps.
Regards.............Bob.

Oh, by the way Bridiebee if you have temp internet files you should get some software to rid you of them on a regular basis, these are free cleaners though i have not tried them:
http://www.danish-shareware.dk/soft/emptemp (667KB)
http://www.ccleaner.com/ (403KB) .
And regerding deleting leftovers from Advanced uninstaller pro yes you can send them to bin and if that DLL is there be sure to clear out recycle bin once its sent there.

Hi Bridiebee

go to internet options, Content, in personal information select auto complete and uncheck what you dont want auto completing, i uncheck all of it.
Not sure if this is the answer to your problem but lets hope it does help.
How are things with the activity logger, i will not rest till we get to the bottom of that one.
Regards.........Bob.
