Specs: Windows XP
I use windows XP (SP3) and I got some viruses. Cleaning them also "cleaned" other things. When I doubleclick on disk c: the Windows "thinks" it is a file and asks me which programme do I want to use to open it. I also noticed that I cannot see the hidden files, even when I choose the correct option in "folder otpions". I would be very greatful if someone could help me avoid "total reinstalation" :-).

It is fixed (with your second sugestion). Thank you very much. It seems that during the virus cleanning procedure the autorun file was damaged.
