My guess is that it's a touch of jealousy. There are some strange people about.

It's a sobering thought that whoever is collecting these email addresses is most likely a registered member of computing.net because few posters put their email addy's on here in open text.

My mind wanders off to various rants about HJT logs that have appeared on this forum from time to time......

All I have to say is that you spend alot of time to help everyone on this site to correct a problem. I would assume that if they were infected in the first place, they lack the ability to defend themselves from malicious BS encountered on the net and therefore may not be able to follow your instruction effectively. Keep up the excellent work we all appreciate it.

Good Luck,
Rob

Indeed - Computing.Net seems to draw them in like moths to a flame

Slings & arrows - don't be deterred, those you've helped know better

You are, once again, Microsoft's bitch

jabuck,

You should get that user to send the complete headers. Then the sender of the e-mail can be tracked.

Justin,

The request has been made.

I have a little more info that I edited out and would send it via pm to you but when I tried you are not avialable pm wise and didn't want to post it on the forum. It is just an email address of the person that sent the info to me.

jabuck,

I got your message through murr. I responded to it. I'm sure he'll pass it along.

As for not being able to PM me, Derek is probably right. You can also just click the "Private Message" link on this post.

.. isn't the PM icon disabled for the originator of the post? I thought that was a feature built in to discourage 'private solutions' - or am I imagining things (again)?

Otherwise, sure, the username is case sensitive (and spaces count as characters)
