CPU/Ram: PIII 512MB

Comment: I think I have a virus. Everytime I try to start an application the "About Windows" window pops up and the application doesn't open. I can't even run System Restore. I can get the internet through "Expore" but that's about it. I've tried virus scans too...no help.

Reply: (edit)Try this, Go here: http://www.dougknox.com/ In the left column click on WinXP fixes, then in the main window click on file association fixes.
Download and run the .exe file association fix. Then go here and run an online scan. RAV
