Comment: Hi people, I was just wondering if anybody else noticed something peculiar about Ad-Aware SE. I know it's a new much improved version of the previous Ad-Aware edition with new and improved techniques to remove nasty adware, spyware and malware. My question is how is it that the old Ad-Aware reflist.ref file size was 1.26 MB after the final update, but the new Ad-Aware SE version's defs.ref file is ONLY 323 KB? Thank you in advance. ER4S3R.

Reply: (edit)I've been told by one of my techs that they embedded a base reference list into the program itself, thus dropping the ref file in size. The logic being... well, I don't presume to know their logic, but I'm sure it's good.
