Don't know what happened, but basically every time i turn on my computer, I get totally overrun by popups and banners and then Norton virus scanner goes nuts giving me virus warnings every two seconds, then also Secretmaker (a friend suggested it but I'm not too sure its a good idea -advice plz) goes wacko. I've heard something about this ABI Network and it certainly is one of the attackers, but compared to others it seems not bad. I get mauled by funphoto.com and targetnet.com every time, they just keep coming. I don't know if ABI is connected to these popups. Any ideas? I'd like to avoid Hijackthis if at all possible, I am not too knowledgeable about it and I don't wanna remove anything by mistake.

If its gotten so bad that you can't run ad-aware (link) or spybot:s&d (link) then you should try to rescue any files you can, reformat, and reinstall windows.
