I have the loader.exe virus. My virus scan didnt catch it, and I have no idea what all this hijack stuff is, but i went to DL it, and i checked the loader.exe box to fix but i still have it. what can i do

Stephanie, Go to the link below and download and run the CWShredder Tool. It should get rid of that garbage which is a variant of the CoolWebSearch hijacker.
Then if you still have problems post the hijack log and someone can help you.

Stephanie, If the CWShredder Tool did not remove it (it usually does) run your HijackThis again and post the log on this forum and someone who understands those logs should be able to help you get rid of it.

Aparently the Downloader.tooncom problem is getting wide spread. I had the same problem which I sorted out with the help of these guys. The information on the post 7601 and 7962 might be helpful to you. Good luck
