2 hidden files in system32

Specs: Windows Vista, quad core/3gb

i have windows vista sp1

ive discovered 2 hidden files in my windows/system32 folder



each are about 4 MB

i tried scanning it with avast it says cant scan becuase its being used by another process

i used malwarebytes- antimalware. it didnt show anything wrong..

what are these files? are these 2 files safe?
i dont see anything suspicous in msconfig or task manager

could this be a virus or trojan ?

I am not 100% sure, but it does not seem like it is a virus. A lot of files on windows are hidden so that users will not delete them by accident, and they are plainly hidden so that users will mess with them.

what i said was the entire name of the file

the first one is "7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-2P-1.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0"

2nd one is


this is the exact name

each one about 4KB /size

These are Windows Vista validaton update files. They will not be read by programs such as Ad-Aware because they are encrypted for protection of your personal information.
