is there a problem using kerio along whit zone alarm?...
i didn´t test it yet ..im just downloading kerio...( cus it seems to be the favorite of the people o visit this site.(its the name i herd more)..pc flanks advice me to try at least five to choose the one best for me ( looknstop, outpost, kerio, sygate, zone alarm).. im using zone alarm pro ..and i think im not having problems..don´t know ( everything is quiet)... but my question (or dought) is if i can use kerio whit zone alarm..if know about problems because of following this metod..please teel something before i install kerio..
ok..thanks...

WHY use Two Firewalls???? Of course you might have a conflict. Also your systems resources
will drop alot. ZoneAlarm is a HOG when it comes to your systems resources. You don't need
Two firewalls,Just put in which ever you like the best. I prefer KERIO it is one of the BEST.

If you use two Firewall products they will be continuosly vying for dominince. And it is possble that while they are fighting each other, for whatever reason caused them to react in the first place a port scan or other attack, the attack or scan slips right on past. I don't beleive anyone would disagree with me (but there will be one) that running one finely tuned Firewall is better than two finely tuned Firewalls. But thats just my opinion.

I used the two of them (separetely of course)
,ZA for five months,Kerio just for some days.
I don't think one is better, they are just somehow different.
Kerio, uses minimal resources, that is why I like it more!!!

just downloaded kerio..and start using ( using separetelly),,, seems to worl fine( zone alarm works fine too for me) the diferrent im seeing is kerio as a faster start up... but im not an expert in firewalls i dont know wich one is doing the job better... know my dought is..in kerio says that is 30days trial but not for pc home users ..? is like im saying?..so i don´t have to purchase the registasion code??( key) ..or have to...?
i know is hard to tell whose better ( including norton ,sygate, outpost, look n stop)..and this 2 ..but do u think i need to try others ...or im fine if i keep one of these 2?..
ok..thanks again

I went from zone alarm to tiny to kerio to sygate to outpost, and then back to sygate.
zone alarm sucks...it hogs up alot of resources and doesn't give you much control. I like rule based firewalls. Tiny was perfect for me, but eventually it kept "forgetting" its settings, so i figured something was wrong with it (backdoor or something). I switched to kerio, which is exactly like tiny.
While using kerio, i was hacked (windows XP has several backdoors built-in by default)...so I decided to try a new firewall while i reformat my computer (the person did so many changes...i couldn't even access my administrator account). Sygate is really nice...It keeps track of several different logs (security, system, traffic, and packet logs)...graphical interfaces, etc.
Stupid me then wanted to try sygate pro...but i didn't want to pay for it just yet, i wanted to try it out first...so i downloaded it from a p2p. Turns out that the copy i downloaded disabled my free sygate, and prevented me from uninstalling it (thus it was useless but couldn't be removed). So I decided to switch to outpost. It is really nice...ad blocking, web privacy/referrer features, etc...but for some reason i couldn't do anything online with outpost. It would block everything (even though it was in learning mode). So now i'm back to sygate for now.
if you downloaded the sygate personal firewall, it's free for home use...only businesses need to buy the registration code.
If you ask me, kerio is doing a better job (and when you learn how to tweak it perfectly, it'll be awesome). Zone alarm is for newbies...it's just a stepping stone before you get a real firewall.
