Recently run into a really strange problem.
Running Panda virus scan (SWS32.exe troj/worm) and AdAware located and fixed several nasties, but the condition--though improved--continues.

Whenever we attempt to access our Yahoo mail account, after inputing the User ID & Pswd, the page begins loading, then the whole computer hangs up, needing a reboot.

However, before it hangs, in the lower left corner of my Firefox 1.5 browser, I see a reference to js 1.yimg.com which does not happen when accessing from a different computer.

A google search on this string produces the following: http://www.google.com.hk/search?hl=en&lr=&sa=G&q=%221.yimg.com%22

Near as I can tell, it's acting like a hijack, but maybe Yahoo is blocking?

Panda nor Adaware has found anything, nor has a string search of the disk or registry.

Any ideas from you great & clever folk?

Use HiJackThis anyway.

Download HiJackThis, install & run to get a log file. Don't fix anything.
You then post the log file at the site provided below & it will tell you what to fix.
