I've tried to explain my problem, but no one has been able to help me. I have scanned-no viruses have be noted, but something is not right. My cusor will go nuts on my screen-minimizing/closing windows in the process. Sometimes there will be a new icon on my desktop: ~ How do I get rid of this problem? Someone shed some light...no one knows what's going on! Assistance Required!!

The tilde (~) icon on your desktop is kthe result of a bug in a MS fix. See here:-

"My cusor will go nuts on my screen-minimizing/closing windows in the process." is not exactly a reasonable description of a problem so unfortunately cannot help you with whatever is causing that.

Good luck

if you right clik on that ~ file, go to properties, select read only. ok it. then right clik again -

select send to notepad, the data is so large it will give you the option of sending to word pad, clik ok.

now, select all that mumbojumbo in the edit button up on the tool bar, then, delete all the highlighted mishmash -

now, you can delete the file to the recycle bin -

this has worked for me. if it works let me know, thanks, lee
