Xcopy not copyng only src files.

Specs: Windows XP, AMDTurion64/2GBRam
following command in XP cmd:

xcopy "C:\Notepad2" "C:\Temp" /e /i /y

This is simply a test copy for a greater task I am working on in a batch file. However, only the contents in C:\Notepad2 are copied to C:\Temp. I had put dummy folder in Notepad2 that were empty as well. All Sub-Directories copied to C:\Temp and all files, but not the Source Directory named Notepad2.

I have tried all kinds of switches trying to get this to work.

I am having the same issue on the work system running Windows 7.

Any help would be appreciated.

The obvious solution:
xcopy "C:\Notepad2" "C:\Temp\Notepad2" /e /i /y
