well i know that on my old computer i had access to some winsock controls but i dont know. i was looking in the sys32 folder and saw that my winsock right now is a 3k file and is version 3.1. i downloaded a new version - ver 4.1 and is like 23k filesize - and it's setting on my desktop right now. i havent "installed" it because i dont know the correct way to do that if it's something other than dragging and dropping and replacing my old file. also, will that actually fix my problem and let me add reference to winsock?? thanks for any info in this!
