I realize that win xp isnt compatible with alot of older programs, but when i try to run a ms-dos unpacking batch file it gives me a error about AUTOEXEC.NT saying the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS applicantions. Is this something i can get around or is it just a compatability problem with win xp? Ive heard alot about how win xp wasnt geared anywhere near MS-DOS as much as the past versions of Windows.

If you have a copy of autoexec.nt in windows\repair, copy and paste it into windows\system32.
