Comment: I was trying to download the Microsoft .NET Framework. I am not clear which one I should download:Microsoft .NET Framework Software Development Kit or Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable? What is the exact difference between these two?

Reply: (edit)If you are wanting to develop .Net apps then you will need the Microsoft .NET Framework Software Development Kit. By the way, Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable is included in the SDK. If you are wanting to only run .Net apps then you only need to download the Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that it can also be loaded onto prior version of windows so that they can also run .Net apps as well. Gorm
