Hi, I have Visual Studio 2005 installed on my PC. Now I need to also install VS6 in order to use VB6. Is this possible or will I encounter problems with either the Visual Studio 2005 or VS6? Thanks! GL
I have VS2K3, VS2K5, and VB2K8 Express. They all seem to play well together, but I've never had VS6. If you DO encounter problems, reinstalling/repairing VS2K5 should fix it.
I seem to remember installing VS6 after VS2003 with no problems. Different versions of Visual Studio are designed to work independently of each other.
A minor problem you may have, could be with file associations. However, you only need to install the VB part of VS6. Don't bother installing C or C++, as the VS2005 versions are sufficient. If you only install VB6, you won't have problems with VB project file associations as these two versions use different file extensions.
