Hi there.
Currently I use Visual Studio 2005 to work on a couple of projects, one or two of which I did for my employers and is getting to be used quite extensively, and a couple more which are entirely personal. The trouble is, now that I've started using Vista, I'm having the usual plethora of troubles that occur with Vista and VS2005. I can get around them just fine, but I'm looking to upgrade to VS2008.
The question is - will my projects still work under VS2008? All of my projects are .NET 2.0 designed, and I make use of a total of three third-party modules (but as they're prebuilt DLLs then I don't think that would cause any trouble.) The main concern comes from two .NET CF 2.0 applications that I wrote for our devices; they use Windows Mobile 5, and as I don't want to "force" the company to upgrade to 6 on those, will I still be able to code for WM5 devices and work on .NET 2.0 projects with VS2008?
I hope someone can shed some light on this, as I'd really like to upgrade to the latest version (to get around the hassle of tricking VS2005 into working on Vista, for one thing) but I obviously can't if it's going to cause me major headaches in the process!
Many thanks in advance,
-Andy
