I have been trying for days to open java files in Visual J++, but Im having no luck. The original files were hand coded in JCreator, and they use a GUI interface, with AWT. First of all how do you actually open a file like the one I created in Visual J++-I tried to make a new Windows Application, and add my files manually, deleting the default "Form" file it adds, but then I cant even "Build" it. I tried to use the Form file, create a button to open my class file, but Nothing happens. Please could someone tell me how to open java files-NOT originally created in Visual J++, and use them as the program, if it is actually possible. My aim is to use Visual J++'s compiler to make the "Windows EXE file". Any help appreciated.

I may be wrong, but you are going to have to do a lot of coding to get MS J++ to do anything Java related. This is because it is not "Real" Java, it is some b---tardized version of java (I think it evolved into C#).
If you want to do Java, try Borland's JBuilder, or better yet, the Sun Java System (since afterall, THEY made Java). I think the Sun System is FREE and you might be able to find a demo of JBuilder at www.borland.com
Hope this helps (and if I am wrong about J++, please someone correct me...I have tried to use it on several occasions and found it to be too much ++ and not enough Java)

Thanks Chi Happens for you reply. After spending a few days searching the java forum, and finding a link to a page, I finally managed to compile java source files created in JCreator, to "Wnindows EXE". I did it by setting the classpath to the "rt.jar" file, then by using "Java" as the program to run the app. And yes it managed to do JRE 1.4.1!
