Comment: Hi, My boyf. has 'Visual C++ 6 version 2.0' boxed that he never got into; could he still learn VC++ 6 from this or is it outdated and he should buy a later edition. or is VC++ 6 outdated too! We dont know anything about programming 'yet!' (We're moving house and came across it!) Thanks in advance.

Reply: (edit)I started with Visual C++ 2.0 7 years ago. It was fine for learning C++. I suggest he install it and learn all he can. Later he can upgrade to version 6.0 if he is still interested.
