Reply: (edit)I have used Visual C++ 6.0 Professional on Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Pro with no problems. I use Visual C++ 6.0 Professional every day at work.

Reply: (edit)Yes, there are no conflicts with Windows XP and Visual C++ 6.0, however it is 2 versions outdated (Visual C++ .NET and Visual C++ .NET 2003). Note that Visual C++ .Net and the 2003 version include the updated Visual C++ as well as .Net stuff so you don't have to use the .Net framework.

Reply: (edit)I have experience of using lots of microsoft products. I feel like their products never have conflicts with windows family, which mean one can use in any platform if it's made by microsoft.
