Reply: (edit)It have many difference, VC have more powerful than VB and it can do everything you want. I think you should find some book to read to begin. The best for you now is book Teach yourself VC++ in 21 days

Reply: (edit)I've used both. Powerful, meaning that VC++ can do MUCH more, MUCH faster. You also have total control over your program. For example: You know all of the events in VB? (such as Form_Load, Form_Click() , etc) In VC++ you handle all of those events yourself... its actually easier than it sounds. -- Worlds Greatest Computer Programmer

Reply: (edit)I have programmed in both, I definetly have to agree with the aforementioned comments... Go with C++ because you will learn better coding habits as well as having more control over your code. The coding skills you pick up using C++ are highly transferable to other languages as well. You will learn right away about important things like classes, objects and arrays and have a good understanding of how they work. Hope this helps ya out!

Reply: (edit) Vb is usefull for simple programs. Vb is very fast at this things. Vc is usefull for big and complex programs.
