Subject: VBA in Access with Win XP |
Comment: Hi All I have heard that there can be problems with VBA in an Office 97 developed database running under Windows XP. Has anyone heard anything similar? I can't find any references to any such problems anywhere on the net or in the knowledge database. Apparently the normal database functionality remains performing but VBA elements are regularly failing. I haven't seen it or had a thorough explanation yet, but just wondered if anyone here had any issues? (Incidentally this is within a vast networked environment rather than standalone - I know b-all about networks so don't know if this piece of info is important) Many thanks as always Tom

Reply: (edit)I am just finishing creating a prog in vba access97 using win 2000 on a large network. My only problem was installing 97 onto an xp machine. There seemed to be some licensing issues that I never had on the other machines.....I worked around it in the end, but it was a pain. Also when I installed it onto a win 95 machine, it stopped recognizing the date function in vba...wierd.
