Here we go, I'm trying to learn VB6. Specifically, I'm trying to learn how to populate databases (Access, SQL, whatever) using user input. I'd like for someone to be able to add a record to the database, search it, and delete records from it. Eventually I'll have several tables, but if I can just learn how to do it with one I should be able to apply that to all of them.

The problem is that I've bought THREE books (Deitel&Deitel VB6, VB6 in Record Time, VB5 Developer's Workshop) and NONE of them do a good job of depicting how to do this. In fact, they all show different ways.

Can anyone suggest an excellent online source or perhaps the title of another book that can get me out of this forest?

Thanks in advance,
Mick

why don't you try and do it with the Application Wizard first. if you already have a database you could have vb make an application shell for that database. just follow the instructions and the wizard will make the app for you. you can then study the code when its finish.
