Hi,
first, thankx for taking time to see if you can help. And a bigger THANKS! if you do :)How do i merge and save a shape and text object with an image object?
example: draw a square, add text on it, move both to a desired location over an image that you loaded/selected earlier. For a dvd menu button or something.
I am not even sure what to look for in terms of references.
Would C+ be a better suited language to write such functionality? my brain is going to blow if i learn yet another language...i barely can spell in english LOL
Again, Thanks for any help!

If you are trying to build specialized VCR-type buttons, you would be better off using pre-designed buttons of that type. Realize this, most pc users are familiar with the design and functionally of vcr buttons, and therefore don't need text to assist them. What you should do is utilize text help, text that pops up when the cursor is over the object, which is standard in VB, to assist anyone who needs it.
Good luck.

actually, i need the merging of image with text for the following:
I want to be able to load a picture, add a dialog baloon on it, position it, add text to it, and then save the image .
Like a comic book, you know?
I have each of these functions done, loading , drawing baloon, moving it, etc. but now i have these objects floating one above the other and have no idea how to merge and save them. Please help?
