username to ip address / hostname

I have a large mixed network and thus I receive a wide variety of helpdesk calls. I am looking for a programme that allows me to type in a persons username and it will give me the ip address / hostname of the PC that they are on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

This might help (If no routers are present, or all computers are on the same network) If you assign to the computers the user names of people you could use ping comand to resolve host name to ip address. I hope this helps
