use of @for %%A symbol batch file

can anyone please tell me what is the use of "@for %%A" symbol batch .

The "@" means that even if "echo" is set to "on" the act of executing the following command will act as if "echo" was set to "off".

In short less verbose; the output of the command will be shown but not it's execution.

"%%A" is just a variable that is declared for use in the for loop.
