Comment: Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew any VB6 coding that can allow a procedure to run when a USB drive is inserted. I want to be able to insert my USB drive while I have my program running, and then my program will do an auto backup of it, and manipulate other data, without user input required. Can this be done in VB6 or will I have to learn something a bit more tech like C/C++ ? Cheers, Shoetung.

Reply: (edit)Yes, U can do it on VB6. But I think U will have to use some WinAPIs to help u in identifying if a USB device has been actived or not. I am not sure if any event can be trigger or this. May be a Timer with few Seconds of interval will help. Samuel Roshan
