Subject: thehun yellow pages PROBLEMOS: win xpCPU/Ram: p3 500 / 128 |
Comment: I have a huge problem and am hoping that somebody can help me. When I open up Explorer it will start loading my homepage and then suddenly start flooding my screen with thehun yellow pages popups. They keep going over and over up to around 35 times or so and cant be stopped unless I click the X right when the first thehun screen starts to open. I havent found any information on this while searching the net but its making my Internet Explorer basically useless. I have tried hijack this and it didnt find anything. Anyone familiar with this problem and possibly know how to fix it? Thanks Barry

Reply: (edit)Have you tried a pop up killer application? i know this doesnt eliminate the problem, but it will let you use IE without popups. u can get it at download.com (stop the pop) also search for this "thehun" application in ure windows programs installed and uninstall it. Also, do you have kazaa or any other application that has spyware(gator for ex.) installed? The problem will only get fixed once you uninstall the spyware. your best bet is probably to kill it with stop the pop software. hope this helps.

Reply: (edit)I found that if you search through your registry for "thehun" you will find the items that are causing the problem. The main one will be under HKey_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Main/YahooSubs/thehun Delete this item and make sure you are using a popup blocker just in case.
