Microsoft Windows server 2008 r2 standar...
March 1, 2010 at 16:29:09
Specs: Windows 2008 R2, 4ghz/3gb
We had this script running on two Windows
2003 R2 DC's. Now that we have moved it to
Windows 2008 R2, we get an error whenever
the script is run at Line 10, Char: 1

Option Explicit
Dim objNetwork, strLocal, strUNCPrinter4,
strUNCPrinter5, strUNCPrinter6,
strUNCPrinter7

strUNCPrinter4 = "\\fileserver1\atl_Trdr2"
strUNCPrinter5 = "\\fileserver1\atl_Trdr3"
strUNCPrinter6 = "\\fileserver1\atl_Trdr4"
strUNCPrinter7 = "\\fileserver1\atl_TrdrCL"

Set objNetwork =
CreateObject("WScript.Network")
objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection
strUNCPrinter4
objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection
strUNCPrinter5
objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection
strUNCPrinter6
objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection
strUNCPrinter7

WScript.Quit

Line 10, Char 1: starts with: objNetwork

Check to make sure your print server has the required print drivers for Win2K8.

maybe it wants () around the strPrinter string...
(but that would probably put the error at other than char. 1,
so i'm probably wrong.)

The print server is still Windows 2003, the only thing that has
changed are the DC's which are now 2008.

Right, but you still need the Win2K8 drivers.

I found out that there is something wrong with the last printer
driver.

I think it is the script. Is this script doing anything other than
assigning printers?
