Which programmes are these? If you mean programmes that you have written yourself, then of you don't know, nobody knows.

Try this in a config file:

off-the-wall=yes

M2

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

There is no programme that will determine the specs required for a programme that you have written.

You as the programmer should know that.

It's like Henry Ford asking Carl Benz what the specs are for the Model T!

You wrote the program. If you use certain hardware features that is part of the spec. If you use variables and arrays that becomes part of the spec.

In the context of a .Net (C#) app, you know that it has to run on a windows 98 and up machine with the Microsoft .Net framework installed, or a linux machine running mono (you should test that before claiming compatibility).

Look in MSDN for each feature of the framework you use and see what operating systems each feature is supported on (things like the WMI baseboard issue discussed earlier).

Have a look in the task manager to see how much memory your app uses...Add 256 or 512 for the operating system and you've got your RAM requirement.

Good Luck,
-SN
