I am intrested in learning something
about programming languages. I've
scanned through the local libraies and
there are tons of books. Can anyone
suggest somewhere to start. I am
intrested in HTML and C++. Can anyone
reccomend a few good books on the
subject?

I wouldnt waste your money on an html book. Its easier to view the source from someone elses site or do a search on google.com.
If your really new to programming, I think the best books are by Deitel & Associates. They are really easy to understand and are full of examples. You can check out their site at.. www.deitel.com
