ok, heres the problem, i have gone to numerous sites and none of the codes i got from them helped, i need a batch code that will automatically embed the batch file in the startup folder so that it executes on startup. I am running a Vista SP1 machine and all the other codes didnt work.
You want to create a batch file that places itself into the startup folder, so that at each startup, it runs, placing itself into the startup folder?
That's how I read what you posted, and it doesn't make any sense to me.
Perhaps you could give a clearer explanation of what you are trying to do. The better you explain the problem, the more chance you have of finding a solution.
Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
No, i just need a code that will copy the batch file into the startup folder. The batch file is something that needs to be ran on startup. Does that help?
If you can't clearly explain what you want to do, you won't get a solution, no matter where you post.
Do you have something to hide? Are you trying to do something illegal, or embarrassing? Why are you so reluctant to give a clear explanation of what you want to do?
Oh well, take your "perfect sense" elsewhere, if you like. But, I doubt you'll get much help with such scant details.

It would be interesting if you could post the solution you get from the other site here. Then we will be able to analyse the cause of our lack of understanding.

Even this simple request from klint was left unacknowledged.
While I was genuinely interested in helping you, I couldn't do so, without fully understanding your problem.
I know it can sometimes be difficult to describe a problem, but you didn't even try. Posting the "rather simple" solution may not only clarify the problem itself, but help us understand why it was so hard to describe.
