# start a file using a program

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2 GHz / 2045 MB
 HiIs there any command that can start a file using a certain program that isnt the default program?for example, run a .txt file with "winword.exe" (microsoft word)

 start "" "p:\ath\to\program\winword.exe" "p:\ath\to\sometextfile.txt" If the program or text file is in the current directory then you can leave out the whole path and just use the file name. If the program resides in a %path% directory the the path to the executable can also be left out.
