What are some software which will work on both Windows and Linux? I want to use Linux and want to check which one of my present software will be compatible on both. So please provide me name of some software that are compatible for both platform

OK, here's the list, a great list. Remember that I have downloaded all these software to run on Windows:

Chrome, Firefox, Comodo Dragon, ChromePlus, Opera, SRWare Iron, Epic and SeaMonkey

Avast, Kaspersky

Browser Plugins
Flash Player, Java, QuickTime

Nero 10, 7-zip, Wrar, Gtalk, MS Office, OpenOffice, Typing Master Pro, Adobe Reader, Adobe Photoshop, Safari Browser, Google Earth, CCleaner, Nokia PC Suite, LG PC Suite, Sony Ericsson PC Suite, CamStudio and much more. Just now tell me which one are compatible?

You don't need 8 browsers and 2 anti-virus suites. Stick with Firefox. And OpenOffice will run on Linux. "Much more" may, or may not run on Linux.
