Comment:

I am looking for a very simple program that will allow me to write BATCH files or Scripts on either Windows 98 or 2000. I am trying to find a way to pass parameters to programs.

As an example...we have a lawyers office we support...every few weeks they get a CD of legal info they want installed...The CD has to be installed on the server, and it is complicated enough that we don't them doing it...

I would like to be able to scrip a small program that all he has to do is place the CD in the server tray, and click an icon on the desktop...and the installation will run automatically from there...

It would run like a batch file in DOS, just it would be a "GUI" version of it...if this makes sense...

A text editor won't do it...
And a DOS Batch file won't do it...

Hope I'm clear on this...
Thanks
JimA

Have you had a look at Windows Scripting Host? It allows you to develop a GUI script in either JavaScript or VBScript and it can graphical.
