Hi nbrane,

Thanks for comming back on that.
My server(Host) is "Fescodev" and files are available in \\Fescodev\powerm\TgtFiles\STARS\RS location. we are using below script to FTP to the server FTG48RD74.

set file_ext_FIRMRO218WIN=PROD
echo %1_%file_ext_FIRMRO218WIN%U.dat, > \\Fescodev\powerm\Scripts\STARS\RS\ScriptLog\%1%2.txt
echo %1_%file_ext_FIRMRO218WIN%G.dat, >> \\Fescodev\powerm\Scripts\STARS\RS\ScriptLog\%1%2.txt
echo %1_%file_ext_FIRMRO218WIN%C.dat, >> \\Fescodev\powerm\Scripts\STARS\RS\ScriptLog\%1%2.txt
ENDLOCAL & set LogPath=\\Fescodev\powerm\Scripts\STARS\RS\ScriptLog\
ENDLOCAL & set SrcPath=\\Fescodev\powerm\TgtFiles\STARS\RS
ENDLOCAL & set FTPP=$strars123
goto END

this we are doing using FTP command but our partners are expecting this should be done throung secure FTP(SFTP).am not sure the process for sercureFTP.

I'm sorry to say i'm completely ignorant of SFTP, so I'm not sure what they're expecting. I would have thought it was simply another utility like FTP but with encryption etc. built into it. My knowledge of SSL is about zero. Aside from that, the script itself seems fairly straighforward...but i don't see where it actually does the FTP, just echos to files and sets env. var.s...

ok np..actullay they are expecting the SFTP like Unix environment (Generating public and privatekeys and using them form SFTP).. they asked me to generate the public and private keys...like in Unix..they are also not sure how it will be for the windows servers..

Windows has no native Secure FTP client. If you must use one, you must use a third party program. I prefer PuTTY's PSFTP.

The PuTTY word in my message links to the official site, which has all the documentation and download links.
