Reply: (edit)Use WinSocks they are very very simple.
The component can be found in the components list.
They have an OnDataArrival events and a SendData method. Chi Happens

Thanx for your quick response. Actually I am developing a software which connects the Computer System with the EPABX. Now we have got a software running with runs in C Language and I want to write a similar program in VB. When we execute the program we send some string like |LS|DAdate|TItime|. The EPABX understands the string and sends an acknowledgement. Then we send the next String and so on. After the System and the EPABX is linked then the System waits for calls in the Serial Port.
So can you help me in developing the above software. Thanx again for your help Regards Mala
