im a novice computer but i believe my programmers manual for my star micronics tsp600 thermal printersays i can send control codes to theprinter from microsoft word does anybody have time to shed some light on this for me

Using Word would be more difficult than using an ASCII editor like Notepad. It works if the printer uses a text only driver.

Old Lotus 123 allowed you to embed codes to change Fonts, spacing, etc.

You will need to take a good look at your printer manual.


I just looked this up.

This has programming the printer under various Window application languages and using Active-X.
