Hi friends, I want to write a small program that searches in document files for a specific phrase or sentences. ( like 'Find files' in windows explorer). However I am unable to search in PDF files? How to achieve that ?
MY aim is to distribute documents in a CD along with a standalone program that displays a screen to type a keyword or sentence to search.

Hi, Well I dont know how to do that but I have one suggestion. The .pdf files are not ordinary text files so u cant search in them like in normal files. First of all u have to study the structure of pdf files for that look at the source of Xpdf(itz an open source application) and u can get the source of it there after studying the decoding algo u can proceed further. Hope this helps u.
