Hi.
I need help in writing a script for XP pro machines that will display any of the following on the desktop when the user logs in:
the computer name (preferred) the user ID the time logged in
The script can be either a batch, NT script, or VBS. Also, it's OK if this info is displayed in the task bar. I have some experience in writing batches, but don't know how to get the above results. Thanks.
Summary: I want to write a script (in bash shell) that will put an icon on the desktop, that is a link to an application. Can someone tell me how to do this? I'm using RedHat Linux7.2 and running KDE. Thanks. ...
