script for quering windows patch

Specs: windows vista, 256
Thanks for allowing to join this forum

I knew a wmic script for finding installed patches in windows for example wmic qfe----

I just want to make a script which will ask user to input any KB number for example KB958664 ...... and the output will show whether the patch is installed or not,,,,,,,, with installation date...

I tried through some vbs script available from google,,,,, but it is not asking for users input.......

any ideas in this regard is greatly appreciated.............
