I use e JavaScript to save my page to .pdf file format, however, it can't be display when i open e saved .pdf file.
I use e following code:-
function SAV_function() {
document.execCommand('SaveAs',null,'nameOfTheFile.pdf');
}
The file can be save successfully in .pdf(Acrobat Reader) but can't display e output.

Is it need to use any Convert method to do it??

To save a file to .Pdf acrobat format
you need the full $$version of adobe acrobat
not the free "reader" program

look on the adobe website for information on saving files in pdf format

they used to allow you to upload the file to them and they would convert it for you

I know this isnt what you want
Bare in mind, You can slap any 3 letter file extention on any file, although it will resemble that type of file to windows, that will not make it that type of file

My Page has many quick explainations of basic commands
Feel free to contribute Or enlighten me with code examples that are not on my page
I am particularly interested in learning hardware periph

Edd,

You state that you have successfully saved it in .pdf format. How can you be sure it is in .pdf format? If it was, it would open with Acrobat.

It would seem that you have successfully saved it with the .pdf extension, but as stated above, you can save a file with any 3 letter extension. Having the .pdf extension doesn't mean it is in .pdf format.

Adobe has the .pdf format copyrighted - the only (legal) way is through them.

Not true BlueRaja - Adobe has opened up the format for other companies to develop .pdf applications. They even released an SDK.

Edd-
You'll need to install some kind of conversion software on the web server. I'm familiar with free libraries for both PHP and Perl to create .pdf files, but don't know of any thing free that does it using ASP (with vbscript nor javascript).

I found several packages that did it with vbscript for a fee ranging from $100-$1200. Ahhhh...The joys of developing on Windows. Google for vbscript pdf converter.
