Rename Images in Batch/Bulk -- Please help!

Specs: Windows 7

I am not a programmer and I am pretty novice, however I can follow directions very well. I need step by step instructions please.

I need to rename over 10,000 images. I've done this before with the help of a programmer but I need to learn how to do this again and by myself.

My images are saved in separate folders so I don't have to do all 10,000 images at once.

I have an excel spreadsheet with all of the image names (without the .jpg extension). These are in column A. Column B has the name that I want the image to be changed to. I need a program that will look in the image folder for the image name from column A and rename it with column B.

From what I can remember when I did this before: We wrote the batch file in notepad and then saved it in the image folder as a .bat file and when I double clicked on the .bat file it renamed all of the images in that folder.

Please help!

Thanks in advance...

A batch won't do anything useful witha spreadsheet. If you save it as a CSV, then maybe.

Life is too important to be taken seriously.
