Comment:

I have developed a code for communicating with a terminal through serial port in visual basic 6.0 using the mscomm control.
my problem is that I have to set the serial port parameters i.e settings and port whenever i run the code.
I need help in this matter, so that i can retain the parameters after once entering them.
i.e the port settings and the comport selection have to be made only once.

You could write a file with the comport settings and read the file again when the program starts.
