!!!ATTENTION PHP EXPERTS!!!

I am trying to build a website in PHP and MySQL that will have URL links redirected through a
database so I can track them properly and tie them back to the site activity.

I am also wanting to hide the source of the redirect URL when the user clicks on the original URL.

Thanks in advance for any help!

i'm no expert but i'll try to share

I don't think you can hide the link totally unless you're able to change the viewer's hosts files ;)

about redirecting & tracking, how about using framesets?

the frame page (index.php) defines these frames:

- topFrame (top.php) with 0 height
- mainFrame (will become the target URL)

you can do all the query needed in index.php and top.php... you can put timer, counter, etc in top.php

ps: address bar will only shows the url to index.php
